About Sean

Sean Parkin built CityHealth from the ground up. Before founding the clinic in 2015, he spent years as an emergency medicine physician assistant, working with Valley Emergency Physicians, Boston MedFlight, the San Francisco Fire Department, and AMR ambulance services.

That EM background shaped his approach to urgent care: fast, thorough, no-nonsense clinical work paired with a genuine focus on making healthcare accessible. He previously co-founded ER Direct and Direct Urgent Care before launching CityHealth to serve the East Bay.

Sean holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University and brings nearly 30 years of healthcare experience to every patient interaction at CityHealth San Leandro.
