About Kurtis

Kurtis Opp became San Francisco’s first dermatology physician assistant in 1989. He trained for a decade under Dr. Marcus Conant at UCSF, one of the most respected dermatologists in the country, building deep expertise in medical dermatology.

Before dermatology, Kurtis spent 10 years as a respiratory therapist, then graduated with honors from Stanford University’s Primary Care Associate Program. He co-founded the Society of Dermatology PAs and served as its president, helping establish the specialty nationwide.

At CityHealth, Kurtis brings 35 years of specialized dermatology experience to patients in the East Bay, treating everything from skin cancer to acne to hair and nail conditions.
